WHO is Darth Sidious? All speculation says that Darth Sidious is indeed the seemingly innocent Senator Palpatine. Of course, we all know that Senator Palpatine (now Chancellor Palpatine) eventually becomes the all-powerful Emporer Palpatine, the unquestioned and feared embodiment of pure evil that eventually rules the galaxy.

But the questions remain: How did Palpatine become a Master of the Dark Side of the Force? If Palpatine truly is Darth Sidious, at what point will this be revealed? Is Sidious training another servant like Darth Maul? How big of a role will Sidious or Palpatine play in the corruption of Anakin Skywalker? Will Darth Sidious personally destroy the Jedi, or will he dispatch an evil underling to do the insidious deed? And is the Dark Side really so hard to see, that none of the Jedi can sense the diabolical, shadowy evil that lies within the soul of Palpatine? (Yoda, after all, could sense something strange in young Anakin Skywalker).

We don't know. We're waiting... for Episode Two: Rise of the Empire.
